Anti-Aging Treatments and Body and Face Contouring

The need and desire to look young and to maintain our best comes naturally to most of us. Major advances, both surgically and technologically, have been made in the aesthetic medicine industry, and cosmetic procedures no longer have to necessarily be surgical. Some of the non-invasive restorative and skin tightening procedures Dr. Reis offers include botox and fillers, various laser treatments, and even radiofrequency micro needling for skin tightening all over the body.

Although eating healthily, regular exercise and staying hydrated can delay the signs of age, they do not stop them. Aging and the progress of time are inevitable. That doesn’t mean that you have to take it and accept these changes without fighting back though. Ultimately, bulges, wrinkles, and loose, sagging skin appear on the face, neck and everywhere else on the body. While these changes are inevitable, they can leave you feeling less radiant and apprehensive about your physical appearance.

Dr. Reis offers non-surgical facial and body contouring treatments that will minimize the appearance of stretch marks and scars, cellulite, eliminate excess fat, tighten loose skin, shape your curves, and improve your skin’s texture.

This is achieved through the use of several different non-invasive methods including Profound RF Technology, which has gained popularity for improving skin laxity and building collagen, CO2 or erbium fractionated laser treatment, micro needling, fat grafting, botox, and fillers. These can all be performed on the face, neck or anywhere else on the body.

How Does Profound RF Work?

Profound RF is similar to other micro needling procedures, where fine needles are used to puncture the intended area to bring about controlled injury, with one major difference. The radiofrequency energy and heat delivered to the skin dramatically amplify the results resulting in far superior results than plain old micro needling. As a result of the additional radiofrequency energy, production of new collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin – the trifecta and three pillars of healthy, youthful, beautiful skin – is stimulated as the tissue heals.

We can also reverse the unwanted signs of age through Fraxel or fractional laser technology. This non-invasive laser therapy is an effective treatment for skin pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles such as crow’s feet, sunburns, acne or surgical scars, and actinic keratosis, a precancerous skin condition.

How Do Fractional Lasers Work?

Fraxel technology uses beams of laser light to treat the deeper affected area without damaging the outer layer of the surrounding skin tissue. The beams of laser light treat a portion of the affected tissue at a time and make multiple passes until the desired result is achieved. This breaks down the damaged skin cells and stimulates the natural healing process to produce healthy skin cells. And by treating only the deeper tissue, as opposed to chemical peels or older lasers that damage the skin full thickness, fractional lasers have significantly less redness, irritation, discomfort, and downtime. In as little a 1-2 days, the initial swelling and redness will typically subside.

The length of a Fraxel therapy treatment depends on the area of the body being treated. Your skin’s reaction also depends on your particular skin type and the level of treatment. Normally, you may spot a little redness, swelling, or a sunburned appearance.
